Also not sure where SAWTOOTH is but never heard of it and can’t find any encounters? Can you double check its meant for Australia?

This would involve changing the metadata for all encounters that use the changed location ID hierarchies as well. It’s a pretty large undertaking.
Can you tell me a little more about the reasoning behind this request?
Ah ok I didnt realise the effort required. Its to do with the user friendliness for the public. The locations are in a bit of a mess - I know not as bad as some other areas with numbers, but for a new person to upload an encounter that list of sites is in a bit of a weird order and not super intuitive

I agree; it needs so much TLC right now. 
I’m going to switch this to a feature request for now so that when we reach the stage of giving Sharkbook roles and location IDs a user-friendly makeover, it’ll be easier to find this request.
Updating this to let you know that as long as we’re not changing the names of the location IDs and just moving them around in the hierarchy, it should be doable, just time-consuming.
I don’t have a timeline for this yet, but I’ll likely be able to get to it before we tackle the broader changes to how Locations are managed across Wildbooks.

Putting the regions in a codeblock so that it preserves the indents for the hierarchy. Is this how they should be nested?
Regarding Sawtooth, we generally don’t remove locations once they’ve been added. I can leave it under Australia.

I edited your last reply to add notes. The locations with *** mean that these locations don’t currently exist in Sharkbook and they don’t have separate Feature Requests associated with them so they’re not included in my draft. Can you create a separate Feature Request post for those since this request is just for reorganizing existing location IDs?
Additionally, I can’t amend existing location IDs without impacting existing encounters from these locations so I haven’t modified those, either.
I’ve published the other updates as requested and removed Sawtooth and Australia (Pacific Ocean) since no encounters were associated with either location and Australia (Pacific Ocean) was a duplicate of Australia.
