Access denied with trying to spot map

In which Wildbook did the issue occur?

Spotting Giant Sea Bass

MacOS Monterey 12.2.1

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79)

Chrome and Safari

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc)

Researcher/Admin

What happened?

When I click on the drop down on the image to spot map, the website then says “Access Denied. You do not have permission to access this resource or execute this command.” I have full access to spot map as I am the leader of the project so I am unsure why I do not have access. The other researchers on the team are having the same issue.

What did you expect to happen?

When I click “spot mapping” on the drop down menu on the image, I should be able to spot map.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

Try and spot map any encounter in the unapproved category to see if you have access.

Thank you!

Hi @andrewpettit

Is this happening with all encounters or just specific ones?

Can you share an example link so I can look into this more?

This is happening on all encounters. Here is a link to an encounter to see what I mean:

When I try to spot map the image, my access is denied.

Thanks for clarifying! I’m getting the Access Denied message, too. Let me find out what happened to make it inaccessible.

Thanks for hanging in there! This has been fixed and now any researcher can access spot mapping again.

By the way, we have the server rebuild planned for this Friday, which should address the ongoing Sea Bass site outage issues.
