What would you like to see? In the bulk import table, once an individual has been identified, the table updates and the ID shows in the table under column “Individual ID”. We are beginning to incorporate more camera trap and aerial datasets, and many of those images end up being unidentifiable. It would be fantastic if once an encounter is marked as “unidentifiable”, that shows in the “Individual ID” column (or another column) so for users working through a specific bulk import - using the table as a baseline - know which encounters have been processed.
How would this functionality help you? This would stop users from entering the ID as “bad photo” etc to make it easy for them to track their progress through a large bulk import, and allow us to keep the dataset clean with “unidentifiable” giraffe remaining “unassigned”.
If requesting a new location ID, include
- Is this is nested beneath another location in the hierarchy?
- Is there a prefix for region-based naming? (optional)
- GPS coordinates in decimal format (optional)
