What happened? trying to view encounters and the images. All I can see is broken images links and when I click on the photo it says “This image could not be loaded”.
Works fine for some
Hi, @E.Germanov!
So, the good news is that all of these images exist on the data drive (which was my biggest concern)!
I am noticing that they all have super weird file names: (e.g., “4_20210317-1512-INNLP0000A-MB [a] (F.Nor.Cl)-Helen.jpeg”) which might be difficult for file-handling code to parse.
It’s quite possible that a ticket we already have in QA (so, very close to done), WB-1648 (which will sanitize file names for single-asset uploads upon upload), would be a solution for this going forward.
I’ll confirm this now and think more about how to solve the problem for files that have already been uploaded.
I’m curious: have these particular encounters had viewable images in the past and relatively recently stopped working, or is it possible that these particular images have never been viewable and we’re just now noticing?
As to your questions as to whether they worked before, Yes they did! I believe I have seen these errors on other encounters the past few weeks but assumed it was an internet issue. Should I just post them to this thread if I see others?
I am also relieved to hear that the images were not gone. That would have been a nightmare
Hi, @E.Germanov !
Thank you for the quick follow-up!
I’m going to go ahead and mark this as resolved for now, but yes, please do post any additional encounters-with-missing-images here if you find them.
If those end up being a separate issue, I might split it out into a separate community post, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
