What happened?

Hi there!

Two days ago, while trying to go through one of my bulk import as usual, I got an error that I’ve never encountered before.

I uploaded all the pictures for my bulk import on Flukebook and then linked it to the associated spreadsheet and everyting was OK (no errors, all green). And then, when I clicked on “Commit these results” to start the linking between photos and spreadsheet just before going to detection, I got this error:

I tried again just this morning and I got the same error again.

What did you expect to happen?

To go on the page where I can then send my bulk import to detection.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

I’ve joined you by email the spreadsheet bulk import I’m talking about in this forum.

Thanks in advance for your help !
Best regards,
Louise Simon.

Hi @lsimon

Thanks for sending your spreadsheet! It looks good to me.

I suspect that this is some Excel formatting weirdness. I have two steps you can try:

  1. Open the spreadsheet and without changing anything, go to File > Save As and save it. Then try uploading the new version. I was able to get it to commit with this method.
  2. If that doesn’t work, go to File > Save As and change the file type to .csv.
  • Open the .csv file and save it as an .xlxs.
  • Upload the new .xlxs file.

The second method can help with stripping away any hidden formatting Excel has applied that isn’t cooperating with the bulk import tool.

Hi @Anastasia,

Thank you for taking the time to look into my issue. Your first solution worked, so it seems that it was indeed a excel weirdness. In any case, thank you very much, everything is working fine now !

Have a great day !
