My third party smart phone app records the route a volunteer walks while photographing cats in urban areas and making submissions into Wildbook. It collects these user location points and transmits them to Wildbook’s back end, which I can currently see in Wildbook on a map. I’d like to get two more things from those points: the ability to calculate the distance a user traveled so I can consider distance as a metric of effort, and to be able to export the points as KML files or some other common format so I can display the route a user walked or overlay it into other graphics.
