Cannot save candidate regions in Manta Matcher

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? Manta Matcher

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) MacOS 12.2

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome 97

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) Admin

What happened? I was trying to add a feature region, and when I click “save as candidate region” nothing happened. It also happened over the weekend on my phone, but I thought that was a mobile issue.

What did you expect to happen? The button to work, and save the candidate region

I just tried with another encounter, and I didn’t even get the box to set the region:

I’ve made a change and Mantamatcher looks to be saving candidate regions normally now.

Hi Colin,

Unfortunately we’re still having the same issue. On one computer they just cannot save. On my computer I’m not even getting the green box. I’ve cleared my cache, and it’s still an issue.

Bumping this to the top of the queue again. I can definitely see an issue with this interface in Chrome. We haven’t touched the code in awhile, so it will take some digging as to why it is occurring.

We are able to create the matchable CR region in Firefox, and I see it working normally above at these links.

Can you please try in Firefox while we look at the issue in Chrome?

Thanks, we’ve just tried in Firefox, and while we’re seeing the box to set up candidate regions now, we’re still not able to save them. We can hit the button, but it doesn’t do anything.

We’ve had a little more time to look at this and believe we have a fix in place. Can you please try the process again in Chrome or Firefox?
