Hello Wildbook users!
You may be aware of the efforts we’ve been making to remove the old Occurrence terminology from Wildbook when referring to Sightings. We wanted to let you know that in the upcoming Wildbook 10.8.0 update, Occurrence fields in your bulk import spreadsheet (such as Encounter.occurrenceID) will be renamed. Where “occurrence” appeared, “sighting” will replace it (such as Encounter.sightingID).
For this update, both versions of the field will be accepted, but we want to make you aware of the change and will update our bulk import fields help doc with the new names for your reference.
At some point in the future, any bulk import fields with “occurrence” in the name will be flagged as invalid. We want to make you aware of this change early so that you have time to update your templates and inform your colleagues.
