What Wildbook should this feature be in? GiraffeSpotter
What would you like to see? Option to restrict the collaboration to only a specific site
How would this functionality help you? Protect data integrity while collaborating with distinct partners
Hi @CourtneyMarne
Can you tell me a little more about the background for this request? We want to leave it up to individuals who they choose they share their data with.
Hi @Anastasia, yes I want to fully share my data (back and forth both directions) from one site only with a collaborator user but, as far as I understand, the only option is to collaborate and give them âedit accessâ. But then they can see ALL my data, which leaves data from other sites exposed and breaches sharing contracts with other people. Unless I am misunderstanding and this is option already?
Ah, ok. So you want more granular control over who can view or edit certain subsets of your data rather than a âview allâ or âedit allâ approach. Is that correct?

Exactly. I want to collaborate with subsets of my data, rather than edit all as it leaves my some data exposed that I am not permitted to share with others.
Thanks

I wrote up a ticket for this here: Fix project bug that prevents project members from confirming matches on project encounters ¡ Issue #957 ¡ WildMeOrg/Wildbook ¡ GitHub
I edited the ticket after learning that the correct solution for this is to add that user and the encounters to a project, but thereâs a current bug where users on a project arenât able to confirm matches on project encounters theyâre not the owner of. Iâm updating this to a bug report post.
