What would you like to see?
At the moment, new IDs are suggested in the interface by location; i.e. a new whale shark or sandtiger from the Pacific Coast of Australia could both be AP-044. Is it possible to create a new ID per species, rather than having multiple species with the same number sequence?
How would this functionality help you?
It would avoid confusion in naming across multi-species platforms.
