Detection showing complete but annotations not present - different IA Class, missing IA Class

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? Internet of Turtles 10.12

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) MacOS

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome

What is your role on the site? (researcher, org admin, etc.) Org Admin, researcher

What happened? I submitted a new Bulk Import (20250719 KPlummer Bulk Import.xls) and the process was pretty quick, showed that detection was complete … however there were no annotations showing. After about 30 mins I went to the last encounter of the import and saw an annotation.

When I looked at the annotation it showed a different IA class (sea turtle) than we’ve seen in the past - but when I tried to edit the annotation the IA Class is blank, so is the viewpoint. The options for the IA class are what we’ve seen in the past (turtle_green, turtle_green+head)

I can send along the import spreadsheet but I don’t think this is spreadsheet related.

What did you expect to happen?

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

Thanks for letting us know. I’ll need to check in with my teammates about the new IA classes and if they’re still being matches against the original ones. I also see some examples of multiple annotations on heads, so I’ll see if I can get you an update on that, too.

Quick update: we’ve fixed the IA classes. You should now be able to update any missing annotations.

Second update: I’m resending your import to detection. This should hopefully catch a few more annotations. We do have an updated detector model for IoT that should be ready soon so you should hopefully have fewer manual annotations to make going forward.

Thanks @Anastasia
