What would you like to see?
On the Bulk Import task page, we can see that the Data Import gets flagged as complete, however the computer vision processing only shows as “sent”. We’d like to see the CV status update to show when complete, not just sent.
How would this functionality help you?
Currently, it’s a guessing game to work out when detection and matching has completed on a bulk import. This causes users to have to go into various encounters in the bulk import list to see if both annotation(s) and match results are done.
This can cause users to incorrectly assume the bulk import is complete which, in turn, can cause them to add annotations where they appear to be missing - this is a step we recommend users do at the start of their review process to ensure all animals in the import are annotated. But this can result in 2 annotations on the same animal in the same media asset - one manually added by the user and another added by the detection algorithm, if the manual one is added before detection is completed by the system.
Having this feature would save the user time in checking on completion status and eliminate the possibility of duplicate annotations.
