Double notification emails for SeadragonSearch

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? SeadragonSearch

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) MacOS 15.7.3

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome 144

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) admin

What happened? Participants often only fill in submitter or photographer, but not both. When pressed they said they were sick of getting so many automated emails. I asked Jason about having an option to only receive one set, if you are both submitter and photograpoher and he said this should already be happening. But its not.

What did you expect to happen? Participants to receive only one New Encounter Submission and one Encounter Update email per encounter.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? I set up a test encounter from Bicheno with Lars Sigge (there should only be one), and confirmed the issue. He received two emails for both automated emails.

I’ll need to write a up a ticket for this because I think there’s a bug in the notification email logic that’s causing the duplicates to go out. I’ll follow up that that soon.
