Error: You must set a species first

In which Wildbook did the issue occur?

What happened?

Tried to submit an encounter but the error ‘You must set a species first’ kept popping up, making it impossible to continue to the next screen.

What did you expect to happen?

Should have accepted the encounter. There is nowhere to input the species.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

I have confirmed your issue and have a ticket written up for us to track the problem as we work to fix it. If you ever want to check up on the status, you can message on this thread about WB-963. We’ll report back here when we have the resolution.

This is now resolved on whaleshark.org. Species field appears and autopopulates Rhincodon typus.
