What happened?
I need to delete a bulk import. I began by pulling up the Import details on this page: Wildbook for Carnivores | Login
I checked for encounters that had been matched to an ID’d individual.
I removed encounters from Marked individuals.
I refreshed the link above to see that all encounters that had been matched to an ID’d individual had been removed from those individual records.
I went to the bottom of the page and clicked on “Delete ImportTask”
Got this failure message:
I looked at the Logs page but the info there doesn’t tell me what’s wrong
Also, interestingly, the Results page appears to be parts of another version of wildbook? Links to a Participate (in top menu), no Sightings menu option, and a link to “Adoption Create/Edit” page.
Hey @ACWadmin1,
Can you go to the import task you were deleting and let me know if the encounters are still there? I did some testing and the encounters are deleted but the import task isn’t on my test environment.
@tanyastere - not to nag but is there any news on this? The researcher affected by this issue is holding off on continuing her matching because she’s doing it from the list of individuals, not from random unknown encounters. So we want the entire census data in the system before she starts running through matches against all her individuals. So any update/ETA/info would be much appreciated. thanks
Yes, this was imported before our fix that ensured that detection-spawned Encounters (when >1 individual is present in a photo) retained the same ImportTask. There will be artifacts like this left over if you delete older ImportTasks.
