I am using Wildbook Internet of Turtles and noticed that when running encounter matching the Hotspotter algorithm no longer appears as an available option. At the moment, only MiewID Matcher is available. I would like to ask:
Has the Hotspotter algorithm been removed or deprecated for this Wildbook instance?
Or could this be related to a configuration issue, user permissions, or a temporary system problem?
Can you let me know which species you’re working with so I can take a look at how the configuration file is set up for it?
We’re working with Eretmochelys imbricata and Chelonia mydas.
Thank you! It should be back now. The new upgrade to IoT meant that we needed to be specific about how certain algorithms were defined. Before the upgrade, if it wasn’t set in the configuration file, it would default to Hotspotter. Thank you for flagging this so we can address that for the other Wildbook that recently got the upgrade, too.
