What happened?
We are starting to use camera trap imagery in some of our surveys and the annotation face appears to be misattributed in many of the images that contain only lower torsos, so we are unable to attempt matching to the appropriate face. Would it be possible to retrain the computer vision model to identify the appropriate face? Or perhaps add a better ability to edit the face on the annotation without deleting and regenerating it.

What did you expect to happen?
The appropriate face (eg left side vs right side) to be detected in the image

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?
Look at individuals labeled as ‘unmatched’ in the Rwanda -->Akagera NP

Hi @mbrown

Can you share the link to a search result or specific encounter or match page links that I can review? I didn’t find any unapproved encounters for Akagera in GiraffeSpotter.

Also, which species are you seeing the annotation issues with?

Sorry! We’ve also been removing and readding some of the annotations as we go so that we can rematch them.

Thanks for the link. In this example, the issue is that too much of the background is included in the annotation, right?

Are you observing this with only Giraffa tippelskirchi or is this happening with other species, too?

Do you have a few more examples I can review and share with the team?
