Incomplete export

Hi !

The new version of Whiskerbook is very good, especially the big speed boost!

There are two bugs with the new search :

  • when searching all the data for the “Réseau Lynx France” organization, it displays 4,924 results, while the old search interface gives 4,922 results for the same search).
  • Then, when you click “Export => Encounter Annotation Export Click here” , there are only 3,616 rows in the Excel table instead of 4,925 (4,924 encounters + 1 title).

OpenSearch indexing in the new encounter search can take a while to complete after an upgrade. In some Wildbooks, it took a few days for indexing to complete. Can you let me know if you’re still seeing inconsistent search results between the new and classic encounter searches by tomorrow?

I just wanted to update you that we did find a discrepancy with OpenSearch results after the indexing completed, so we’ll be looking into this more. The missing encounters in the export are likely a separate issue, but we’ll be able to dig into it more once we fix the search results.

Quick update: The export results should now match the search results

We opened a ticket for the discrepancy between the new and old search result numbers: Encounter Search (Open Search) security indexing does not allow an orgAdmin to get search results that include data from the members of their org · Issue #1149 · WildMeOrg/Wildbook · GitHub

Thanks for your patience. The export issue has been resolved. Your export numbers should now match the search result numbers.
