Manta Matcher Algorithm Not Working

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? Manta Matcher

What happened? Tried to run hotspotter algorithm for a long time and no results appeared, even after hours.

What did you expect to happen? List of matches or message that says no matches found

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? MantaMatcher

Thanks for your patience. An error occurred with the create a feature region tool that prevented annotations from being useable. We’ve corrected the impacted images manually.

In the near future we hope to bring MiewID into Manta Matcher to prevent this type of issue and simplify the matching process for mantas.

Hi, we are still having issues when trying to run the Manta Matcher. After creating the Optional Feature Region, it displayed the attached screenshot with no option to run matching.

It’s because the Taxonomy is missing from the attributes section:


MantaMatcher can’t start matches if it doesn’t know which species to look for. Click the Edit button to update and save the taxonomy, refresh the page, and you should see the option to start a match.

It looks like your 6 most recent uploads are missing the taxonomy, so fixing this should unblock you.
