In which Wildbook did the issue occur? GiraffeSpotter
What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) Windows
What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome
What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) admin
What happened? Manual annotation not displaying correctly - not sure if it coding the box accurately
What did you expect to happen? Bounding box to remain where drawn for correct pattern saving. This is related to a very old request for GiraffeSpotter to receive the ‘edit annotation’ feature without having to remove/add new Angled / rotated annotations
What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? Wildbook for Giraffe
Hi @CourtneyMarne
We’ve just implemented a bug fix for this that will roll out as part of the Wildbook 10.8.1 update:
opened 10:25PM - 22 May 25 UTC
closed 07:51PM - 02 Sep 25 UTC
bug
platform support
Possibly related to previously resolved issue [#383](https://github.com/WildMeOr… g/Wildbook/issues/383)
**Expected behavior**
Manually drawing an annotation will stay where it was drawn when it's saved.
**Current behavior**
Drawing and saving a manual annotation look normal on the manual annotation workflow, but refreshing the encounter page resizes it.
**Testing notes**
Reported in box turtles for IoT. Can test with this encounter:

User reports that this issue seems to be related to taking photos within the Survey123 App. Photos taken outside the app and uploaded to the survey work correctly. Photos taken using the app itself cause the issue.
