What happened? I have always had inconsistent results in the search encounters function. I couldn’t put my finger on it before, but now I have worked it out. In the metadata search it says “Submitter, Photographer, or Email Address. This field is NOT case-sensitive”. However, I believe it is actually only searching for encounters submitted by the name or email address provided. There are a couple of people that I do the submissions for, so when I search for their encounters, I get zero results. So its clearly not accessing photographer status. It would be incredibly helpful to have the option to search for photographer or submitter, but in a way that didn’t double count encounters when they were both.
What did you expect to happen? to be able to retrieve encounters where the supplied email address represented the photographer.
What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? I hope this helps to either further refine the search functions, or to help you apply some explanatory text that shows what is actually happening.
