What happened? We are no longer receiving emails alerting us to new encounter submissions, encounter updates, or when encounters are removed. Users are still receiving notifications when they submit their encounters and the following encounter updates. The emails just aren’t being sent to the email account that researchers use. The last new encounter notification email we received was on June 29, but we have had new encounters submitted since then. The last encounter update notification we got was on May 19, but have made matches and assigned new individual ID’s since then as well.

What did you expect to happen? We usually have a copy of all notification emails sent to spottinggiantseabass@gmail.com.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

Hello,

We are in the midst of a push to improve email function broadly in Wildbook. The next few weeks
we will be increasing the time we allot to email issues, and this ticket will be a part of that effort.

Thanks for reporting this.

Thanks for working on this! We appreciate it.

We have confirmed the issue and are in the process of changing all platforms over to a new provider as part of the initiative to get past these email issues. We’ll be resolving this with the work for WB-1282.

Thanks!
