Protocol to process and match groups of individuals

Hello Community,
I am using Flukebook to identify Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins in the Red Sea. With large groups (20+) of animals after an initial (but precautionary) filtering of images, I end up uploading 100-300 images for a single sighting. Flukebook saves so much time with automatic detection and removing the need for manual cropping which is one of the biggest bottlenecks, and I also like that you can internally and externally match individuals at the same time. However, in the end there are many photos of the same individual that needs cleaning. Anastasia has recommended that I add a feature request to delete multiple encounters from sightings or bulk imports, so I will do that.

I am curious to hear how others use the platform when you have large groups of animals? In the end it would be ideal to have a final ‘processed sighting’ where only the best photos of each individual from various aspects are retained. I’m aware of the WildEx app which allows the export of a user specified number of images per individual. But it doesn’t seem right to retain so many duplicate encounters of individuals on the platform and my method seems inefficient!

If anyone would be willing to share how they best use this platform to identify groups of animals, that would be much appreciated!

Thanks all!
Gemma
