What would you like to see?
At the moment in Seals Wildbook when a female Saimaa ringed seal has a pup that can be identified with a right side picture with visible fur pattern, thus given it’s own phs-code, it can be added in the seals social relationships and is visible in the social diagram. Very often though, the pup can not be identified, it’s maybe photographed only before the pup fur changes or we can’t get the right side. We would be very happy, if we could add any pup and it’s birth year and perhaps Location ID where it was observed, to the female’s individual metadata.
How would this functionality help you?
We are giving now a closer look to how often Saimaa ringed seal females are giving birth. At the moment we have this information stored separately in an Excel file.
If requesting a new location ID, include
- Is this is nested beneath another location in the hierarchy?
- Is there a prefix for region-based naming? (optional)
- GPS coordinates in decimal format (optional)
