Since the latest upgrade of sharkbook.ai annotations are no longer detecting the left/right angle of the shark automatically. This always used to be detected, but now is requiring manual edits on every image.
@Sarah_Aus_SpotaShark We caught that configuration problem a few days ago and have been doing some cleanup species by species. Two quick requests:
- Can you check that this is still happening with an entirely new submission?
- Can you please provide a link to an uncorrected example from your data? I want to make sure our cleanup script is correctly fixing these.
The root cause is we have an new ML inference engine, and we need to standardize how models predict viewpoint. There were various ways models did this in the past.
