Sharkbook - Individuals not showing all encounters

Since the launch of new Sharkbook, I am finding that often the new encounters (added since update) are not showing up in the table for the list of encounters per individual.

What used to happen - each encounter is eventually (hopefully) matched to a unique ID. When you click on the unique ID you are taken to the Individual details tab. In here you see overarching information (eg Name, Nickname, Birthdate, Deathdate, Sex etc) and then under you see a table listing every encounter (eg it was seen on this date at this location, and on this date was seen at that location etc).

I just created a new ID for this shark ( Wildbook ) and when you go to its individual’s page, there is nothing listed in the table:

Thanks for catching this! I made a ticket for this here: Sharkbook - New encounters added to existing individuals since 10.10.2 update do not appear on individual page · Issue #1649 · WildMeOrg/Wildbook · GitHub

Hi @Sarah_Aus_SpotaShark

Can you let me know if you’re still encountering this? I see the encounter on the individual page now, but I want to make sure it’s not just a result of delayed indexing.

It seems to be working - however, of course the main issue now is that I am stacking up a number of encounters that are not showing in the table as I am unable to allocate the identity to them. So this bug can be closed, but do you have an update on the bug that is preventing us from adding identities to encounters?

The ticket is part of the upcoming Wildbook 10.12 release, so it shouldn’t be a pain point for too much longer. Thanks for bearing with us.
