Spot A Shark errors

In which Wildbook did the issue occur?
Spot A Shark USA

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3)
Windows 10 Enterprise

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79)
I tried Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox with same results

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc)
Admin/Researcher

What happened?
After logging in, I can’t use search box for for finding individuals, I look at queue of unapproved or approved encounters, the page’s layout and text is buggy. Using the drop-down search option (for individual search) leads me to a HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Error page

What did you expect to happen?
Just to be able to type in “USA-L0651” (for example) and link to the individual’s page

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?
Go to main SAS USA WildBook, log in, and try the drop down search option and click ‘Individual Search’

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

Hello, Ara!
I believe that I’ve restored individual search. Apologies about that!

Could I trouble you to confirm that this is working as expected now?

Many thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the fast work; unfortunately the entire site seems to still be out of order. I am unable to find individuals using the upper right search bar and the individual search (which has been restored, thanks!) won’t pull up any individuals.
I manually typed in an entry using the unique metadata, and in addition to the page layout being unusual, each shark comes up as ‘Null’.
Here is a screenshot if that is helpful:

Thank you for any additional help you can provide!

Hi, Ara!
Thanks for the picture - very helpful!
I’m planning on task switching to this next as soon as I finish my current item. I anticipate getting to it later today or tomorrow at the latest.
Cheers,
Mark

Bookkeeping - we’re tracking the investigation and work under WB-1130.

Hi, Ara!
I believe that I have restored all of the above to ncaquariums. Please let me know if you find any more issues?

Note: I’m still working on resolving an issue that Carol found with the export file and an issue that I found with the spot-mapping.

Hi Mark,

A lot more on SAS USA is working better than it was before. I am able to search individuals with the individual search function (blue drop-down search), but the upper right gray search box doesn’t work at all on my end.
Other than the font looking different, it seems to working great. Thanks so much!

Ara

Hi, Ara!
Super glad to hear that!
You should be able to see the little search magnifying glass now next to the search bar. Can I confirm with you that clicking it after typing your search term works? It does seem to be working on my end.

Why it’s not working when you press enter is a great question that I’ll be investigating early next week.

Hey Mark - thanks so much for all your help.
You are right, the search bar works even though on my end, the magnifying glass icon is not there; but, the search function works perfectly when I click to the right of the search bar where the magnifying glass should be.

I think I’m just the user equivalent of a problem-child!

Have a great weekend!
Ara

Not in the least.
