What would you like to see?

I have a dataset of multiple hundered photos of known recaptures of the Northern crested newt (Triturus cristatus). The ventral pattern can be used for individual identification.

We would like to have the matching algorithms of the Amphibian & Reptile Wildbook trained to match this species. What would you need to start this process (i.e., photos and spreadsheet, …)?

We’re working on getting northern crested newts in ARW. I’ll let you know once it’s all set up!

Northern crested newts have been added to ARW. The detector isn’t doing a good job of annotating the ventral side, so we’ve disabled it for now. You’ll need to manually annotate this species and make sure the bounding box of the annotation is oriented to the top of the head like this:
