Access denied permission issue for search in SeadragonSearch

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? SeadragonSearch

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) Seqoia

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome 131

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) admin

What happened? I’m reporting on behalf of a user - i dont recall what his role is called in the new world order- atj@atj.net.au

What did you expect to happen? He can no longer carry out a search he used regularly

https://wildbook.seadragonsearch.org/encounters/searchResults.jsp?username=ATJ

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? not sure- I can carry out this search fine. I asked him to wait a few days and try again. It first happened on 24 Dec.

He also has another issue which may also be related to permissions? or might need to be a different ticket. His search for his approved animals seems to work fine. But his unapproved search pulls in a lot of approved ones as well. weird.

This is happening too in Sharkbook. I really hope it gets resolved quickly as I have a few days off work and wanted to use that time to plough through all the data in Sharkbook - murphy’s law that sharkbook would go down when I need it most!

This is likely because this is the old search URL. Now that SeadragonSearch is on React, he should be able to see his encounters with this URL instead: https://wildbook.seadragonsearch.org/react/encounter-search?username=ATJ

Are you running into new issues with the Access Denied error or was this in reference to the spot mapping access? The spot mapping access was resolved last week, but if users are having trouble with their bookmarked encounter search URLs, clicking on My Data > My Encounters from the site menu should get them to their personalized encounter search URL.
