Assigning images from a bulk import to an existing project

What Wildbook are you working in?
Amphibian and Reptile.

What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?
Need help finding where exactly I can start matching my images.

Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
I have uploaded my respective images via bulk import, they are not in my project however.

How can I get them into my project I created, and start matching individuals?

Thank you so much!

Hi @Celine

In order for you bulk imported encounters to be added to an existing project, your spreadsheet needs to include a couple of project-related fields to assign them correctly (Encounter.project0.projectIdPrefix and Encounter.project0.researchProjectName).

You can view instructions on how to do that here: Projects — Wildbook documentation

If you don’t want to start over, I recommend:

  1. Start an Encounter Search
  2. Click on Metadata in the left nav and enter your spreadsheet name in the Bulk Import File Names field
  3. Submit your search
  4. Click on the Project Management tab of the search results page
  5. Select your project name from the Select Projects To Add To list and click the Add to Project(s) button.

For matching, you can view match results from the bulk import task page.

“Completed” under the Class field means that identification has completed and your match results are ready. Clicking on that link will take you to the match results page.

For guidance on viewing match results in general, see our help doc on the Matching Process: https://wildbook.docs.wildme.org/data/matching-process.html

Thank you so much Anastasia!

I saw your post before it was deleted, but wanted to give you context that the search indexing isn’t always immediate. It can take a moment after you update encounters for them to get re-indexed and for the new data to be searchable. I’m glad you we able to get unblocked.
