What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?
Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
Bulk import is stuck after detection.
Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?
Hello,
I submitted a bulk import with 53 encounters in Flukebook. The status still says “Detection requests sent (0/53 complete)” and it hasn’t changed. I clicked “Send to Detection” but no image has been processed.
Thank you for your time and support.
If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report
It looks like Flukebook is working through a large queue of jobs today. Your import is currently at 16/53 complete.
Thanks for sending your spreadsheet! The only feedback I have is that your location ID is listed as “Mediterranean_Sea” when it should be entered as “Mediterranean Sea”, without the underscore. When the location ID doesn’t match exactly with what’s in Flukebook, it won’t display the correct match candidates.
My recommendation is to update the location ID in your spreadsheet, delete this import, and upload your updated spreadsheet.
Thank you so much for your response. When I delete this import and download the updated spreadsheet, do I also need to re-download the photograph file?
I couldn’t find a Location ID corresponding to the Istanbul Strait among the available options. Would it be possible to create one? Also, since the individuals we encounter in the Istanbul Strait might also be sighted in the Marmara Sea, Mediterranean Sea, or the Black Sea, I was wondering: is it possible to assign multiple Location IDs to the same import?
Great question! You don’t have to re-import your photos. When you’re on the photo upload page, click the link I’ve underlined in red in the screenshot below:
This will let you skip to the photo review page, where you can proceed and then upload your updated spreadsheet.
You can make new Feature Request post to request that we add Istanbul Strait to Flukebook. There’s a template we’ll need you to fill out to get the details we need to update the site with it.
Your bulk import can include multiple location IDs, but each encounter can only be assigned one location ID (since an encounter represents an animal seen at a specific place and time). Before you send the encounters to identification, you’ll see a list of all location IDs in Flukebook. By default, the locations in your spreadsheet are selected, but you can choose additional ones by holding CTRL or CMD (depending on if you’re on a PC or Mac) while you click on more locations.
