What Wildbook are you working in?
zebra
What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?
Wildbook
Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
How can I remove that error highlighted automatically, which to me is not an error. I also had another one on grass species, Harpachne schimperi and after selecting it again from the options given for correction. It accepted. Same name, same spelling.
Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?
If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report
All those errors on the same thing, “Encounter other species 2 and 3”
Thanks for flagging this, @Rosemary. Can you email us your spreadsheet so we can troubleshoot further? services@wildme.org
Thanks for sending your spreadsheet! There’s a trailing space after Harpachne schimperi in the Encounter.mediaAsset0.grass_species_2
field.

When I delete the space after the name, it reverts to a valid entry

Encounter.MediaAsset0.Other_species_2
should list acceptable entries when it flags something as invalid, so I’ve escalated this to the devs for a solution.
(sorry about the typo in the email address! I fixed it in an edit.)
Thanks for your patience! We’ve fixed the validation on the other_species fields.
You’ll want to remove the trailing space from the grass species in your spreadsheet (you can do it quickly in Excel by updating the first row and then dragging the little box in the corner all the way down to the rows that need changing)

Then you may need to do a hard refresh in your browser and then start your import again with your updated spreadsheet.
@Anastasia
Thank you for your help. And what could this be please.
Is this from a different spreadsheet? Can you email it to me, please?
I noted even from the old version the direction and distance skipped to upload. Something I didn’t realize on time. I will have to add it manually but going forward, what might be the problem. Sometimes it uploads, sometimes it fails.
I have sent the spreadsheet on email.
Ah, interesting. Since these are custom fields for Zebra Wildbook, I’ll need to look into what values it considers valid and follow up with you.
It looks like the old Codex field “Direction to group” is now Encounter.measurement26
in Wildbook and “Distance to group” is now Encounter.measurement25
.
I’m going to email you the Codex to Wildbook bulk import template in case you still need it to reference old field names with new ones.
