Data discrepancies

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? ACW

What operating system were you using? Win 10

What web browser were you using? latest chrome

What is your role on the site? logged in as researcher

What happened?
I can’t see my ID’d individuals under the approved encounters search. There are only 7 records in that search with this researcher’s userID. There should be 212 based on the bulk import I did using that userID under the SubmitterID column (I’ve emailed the import file of these ID’d individuals to the services email address).
I searched encounters in the various ways, filtering by that userID and found these results:
View my submissions: 2283
Unapproved: 2060
Approved: 7
Unidentifiable: 0

What did you expect to happen? unapproved# + approved# = my submissions#

The error was in the bulk import sheet. Metadata state was set to “Approved” versus “approved”. The data is there but needs a manual fix from us to show up in the approved category. More on that soon…

Rats!!! I did it again. So these records technically have no “state” so they’re there, but not searchable by state. I’m guessing they’ll show up in My Submissions but mathematically, doesn’t that leave me a few records short still (between approved+unapproved & my submissions)? Would that be down to some new encounters being generated from the ID’d individuals upload?
You must want to strangle me…

Easy fix! I’ll take those any day.

216 encounters with state “Approved” set to “approved”.

Please let me know if you now see them listed correctly.
