Went to Search > Encounters > tried to apply date range filter - sighting start and end date options only go back to 2011. The dataset being studied here is from 2008-09 so need to be able to select filters from those years

The calendar tool is a convenience, but the date range is actually specified as an ISO8601 format text field. Go ahead and type in the date you need like this:

It’s really weird that the calendar tool has a ten year limit, but it seems to be a ten year limit around the date being typed. Very unusual…
