Error updating encounter

Hello.
I performed two bulk imports on the 10th. Everything went smoothly, and they were assigned to the correct project. However, when I perform the match results to assign an identity to the individuals, clicking on SET TO INDIVIDUAL returns this error: ERROR UPDATING ENCOUNTER. What could be the problem?

Hi @Txema, welcome!

Can you link to the specific match page and which result you’re trying to set as the individual?

BSWP-0300

Hello.
I’m not sure if these links will work; it’s my first time checking. Anyway, the error occurs with all the animals I want to identify. Do you think you’ll be able to help me? Thank you.

I’m not sure what this refers to. It didn’t come up with anything when I searched by encounter, occurrence, or individual UUID. If you can copy the URL from your browser’s address bar of the page you want me to review, I can take a look.

I didn’t see BSWP-0300 in the match results of this page, even when I increased the number of match candidates to 20. Can you double-check? If you’re not sure about your links working, the right side of the field where you type your reply to me has a live preview where you can see the formatting of what you’re typing. You can open any links in a new tab to make sure they’re going to the right page before posting your reply.

Separately, I also noticed that the location ID used for this import was Spain.Balearics, which isn’t a valid location ID and will not give you accurate match candidates. It will only show you other whales within the same import that has this location. Balearic Islands is the location ID you should use instead. @ler4, since Txema is one of your collaborators, can you coordinate to make sure the bulk import location data is imported correctly so there aren’t any missed potential matches?

Thank you. I will delete the bulk import and redo it with the correct location. Maybe that will solve the issue. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I can. Thanks!

Hello Anastasia ,
I’ve corrected the bulk import and properly assigned the location and user, but I’m still encountering the same error…
Here is the link.

Thanks for doing that! I’m working on this today, but I don’t know if I’ll have an update for you before next week (Monday will be a holiday for us).
