Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
After uploading images through the bulk import, the rapid assessment can be viewed and individual encounter pages are created, but an option to match individuals to previous individuals in the system or in the upload is not present.
Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?
I used the bulk upload template, then selected to run image detection on images against all sites (no option to just select Kenya).
If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report
Hi, @jenna !
We’re not ignoring you haha! @jon took a brief look at this yesterday, and is planning on diving in more explicitly on Monday!
Cheers,
Mark
@jenna i think i have a lead on what might fix this - going to merge some changes from other wildbook to giraffespotter and try re-running identification on this import.
Hi, @jenna !
I don’t want to speak for Jon, but I believe that the volume of images was not the issue. I think as long as you stick below the recommended 1000 encounters per bulk import, you should be good to go on that front.
I’m going to mark this as resolved, but please let me know if there’s more to be done!
Cheers,
Mark
Good to know it wasn’t the volume of images. However, I don’t think this is resolved as it is still saying only 2 images were sent to IA and now I don’t have an option to view the ‘Rapid Assessment’ to verify individuals?
Just as another update in case helpful, I was just made aware that another user is having similar issues in regards to not being able to view the ‘rapid assessment’ button in order to verify individuals.
hiya @jenna - yes, i re-ran the detection/identification part of your bulk upload since the fix mark and i pushed. the jobs all started and detection finished (so should have annotation rectangles around all giraffe) and most of identification finished. (we had a disk space problem and a few jobs did not finish – i will attempt to get those going again asap.)
you may need to do a reload on your browser if you have this open from before. but now you should see a “Review” button on these, which leads you to the page to review best matches and choose a match if desired. let me know if this is not the case, or something seems off. (if the Review page has no results, it might be some of the few which have yet to finish.)
Thanks @jon ! That linked worked to view the rapid assessment but how would I get to it without that link? The rapid assessment button that used to be on the import summary is no longer there?
ah! i suspect that both of these issues are related to us accidentally squashing something when we merged in main-line wildbook code to giraffespotter. (as rapid assessment is pretty much only a giraffespotter thing right now.) i will work on restoring both asap. it might be next week mon/tue on the non-match individual. i think the link to rapid assessment will be quicker to get back in.
i am not sure why those 5 were skipped. i re-ran detection and ID on them. it seems like the jobs completed on all but one. stubborn giraffe? but feel free to check them out and see if you can use the results. let us know if not.
Just ran a new upload with only about 49 images last week and seem to have the same problem. Ran through identification and but with no option to review. Any thoughts?
