A user is trialing the export functionalities in ACW. He wanted to export my encounters as a mark-recapture file. The resulting file has an .inp extension.
He needs to know how to open the INP file format.
Since I don’t know, I told him I’d ask the experts
The .inp format is just a text file. Program Mark, RMark, and other mark-recapture-related applications will look for that file extension by default, but there’s no magic to it. The format of each row however is proscribed and a standard for many mark-recapture analytics packages, though it is not a managed or hard standard.
