What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?
Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
Most encounters migrated from Codex whether they were assigned or unassigned say “Still waiting for detection. Refresh to see updates.” Also, the visual matcher for both assigned and unassigned encounters migrated from Codex leads to a blank page.
Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?
Under the “My encounters” tab, I clicked on a few random encounters that were assigned and unassigned. When clicking on the menu tab on the picture in the Gallery section, I received the pop-up, “Still waiting for detection. Refresh to see updates.” When I tried to click on “visual matcher” it lead to a blank page. Only for one encounter that I have seen so far that there are match results available. (Wildbook)
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll need more time to look into this and I’ll get back to you soon.
The visual matcher was a legacy tool that was used before matching algorithms were available and was used for matching manta rays. It’s not actually meant to be used outside of that use case. It just hasn’t been removed from the Wildbook interface yet.
As a temporary workaround, you can select “remove annotation” and then “add annotation” to manually start the detection and identification process. I hope to have an update later today, but I may not have any news until tomorrow.
