Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing? map wont load and annotations are not present
Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing? check out any new unapproved encounters in seadragonsearch or the example I pasted in above
If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report
I’ve resolved this issue and run tests to ensure google maps and detection are back online.
Encounters from today will need to be either re-submitted or get manual annotations, but
submissions going forward should behave normally.
Thanks @Colin. All encounters submitted on the 7th Nov (77 of them) were by the public- its tricky to ask them to resubmit. So I’d be happy to do manual annotations etc but the images on those encounters are not visible either. Are you able to address that? thank you

This is doable from our end. I’ll let you know when I’ve kicked off detection on those 77 encounters. This is being tracked internally as ticket WB-1872.

Ok thanks Mark, but as my earlier message indicated- I still cant see images in the earliest set of unmatched encounters on the 7th. So I’m not sue which 77 got fixed. and the more recent ones have the error that I shared. I think there are different but probably related issues, thanks, Nerida
I’m not sure if this has already been discussed at some point, but I was looking back through some older encounters and can’t see photos or annotations. Here’s one example:
So in case that hadn’t come up yet, whatever the issue is seems to be impacting all encounters, including those previously annotated and assigned… Though the annotations could still be there, I just can’t load the photos to check!

This has turned into a slightly more complex task that has roped in a few team members. We’ve restored the mystery-of-the-missing-old-media-assets, and we are still working on sending new submissions back through detection.

I just sent off a whole bunch of jobs to detection on seadragon. I’m no longer seeing any media assets with a detection status of null (huzzah!..?).
How are things looking on your end?
Thanks Mark, unfort i still see errors for some, but it might take me a while to sort through systematically. I’ll just keep working on what I can… some examples of encounters that still dont seem to play ball here
