Left/Right/Back/Front annotations

What Wildbook should this feature be in?
Whiskerbook

What would you like to see?
A separate column that pulls the detection angle (left, right, back, front) so we can download that with the rest of the encounter. It could look one-hot encoded like a column for whether the encounter had a left and be binary, and a column for whether the encounter had a right and be binary.

How would this functionality help you?
It would save a lot of time. I spent around 5 or 6 hours manually creating separate columns with this information. It’s very important for density estimates as there are often right-only or left-only captures that can never be resolved, thus inflating density estimates.

this would be a great feature for Flukebook also.

Let’s consolidate this request over in this thread since it encompasses a broader request to give users the ability to export any data that’s available for an encounter, including viewpoints.

Hi @CMKonrad & @evebohnett - I think what you’re looking for is now available via the new Annotation Export file & the related WildEx app. See this post for more details & links: Being able to export the photographer name (and all the data) - #7 by ACWadmin1

I hope that’s helpful!

cheers
