Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?

for the past weeks i have been having trouble doing manual annotation as it will always take a long time, and shows fail messages after

the end result of the encounter will look something like this (look at the bottom left for the link of the annotation)

Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?

Hi @albarra

Thank you for the links and the screenshots. If you have links to other encounters this has happened with, feel free to post them here as we research this.

Here’s the ticket link for this issue: Manual annotations fail in IoT · Issue #1374 · WildMeOrg/Wildbook · GitHub

So far, we’ve only been able to intermittently reproduce this and it was only when using unsupported image file types (such as .webp). In testing, we were able to save test annotations to this encounter. You should be able to start matches from the head annotation. There don’t appear to be any turtles in the other image to test with, so just the fish were annotated for verification. I suspect this may have been an intermittent issue, but if you see it again, let me know.

Thank you for investigating this issue and for the detailed update, i have been using IoT again and the issue hasn’t appeared yet. Im guessing it might be just a connection issue. Thanks again for testing it out!
