In Flukebook, I am trying to conduct a match of my encounter with adouglas. I have a collaboration with adouglas that allows me to view their data.
I select New Match and scroll down to the Owner selected. It only has “My Data” as a drop down choice. Is it possible to add adouglas to that drop down menu?
How can i filter matches on “adouglas” ? Is there a better way to do this (i.e. from a Project)? Selecting the Pacific Ocean (which I need for adouglas data) forces the algo to match with 4,500 IDs from Ana Eguiguren’s data (with whom I also have a collaboration).

The My Data option when you manually start a match will only include match results from encounters that you have uploaded.
The best way to look for match candidates that include your and your collaborator’s data is to:
- create a Project
- add your encounters to it
- when you’re on the match page, use the Project drop-down menu at the top of the page to select your project name and then your match candidates will be limited to encounters from that project.
I forgot to add: this is a good candidate for a feature request if you want to submit it. I think other users may find it helpful to have more filters when searching for match candidates.

I tried to add “adouglas’” encounters to my project as suggested, but even though they said they were successfully added (screenshot), when I went to my project, they were not there.
Is it possible to add another user’s encounters to your project? If so how? I have view-only access to adouglas.

SWFSC Sperm Whale Catalog. It’s my only Project.
Could the problem be that I have view only with Annie Douglas?

Thanks! I can’t see which projects belong to who on my side since it displays all projects in Wildbook for me as an admin.
I’m not sure what this issue is, but I added her encounters to your project so you can work on your amtches. I will need to talk to the devs to find out what happened.

Hi Anastasia,
I tried to create a new project and add encounters for user lawild with whom I have view only collaboration. The same thing happened - none of the encounters could be added to my new project. Is this a bug or normal?

We’re still looking into this. I suspect this is a permissions issue bug and not intentional behavior but will need more time to verify.
