In which Wildbook did the issue occur?

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3)

What happened?

  • Submitting multiple encounters led to all 23 encounters automatically marked ‘approved’ in workflow state

What did you expect to happen?

  • Encounters submitted and unassigned should be automatically marked ‘unapproved’ which happens with single encounter submissions

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue?

  • Go to www.spotasharkusa.com. Under ‘Share My Images’, hit ‘submit multiple encounters’. Enter information for at least two or more encounters and submit. Follow encounter links and look under metadata box: workflow state says ‘approved’ when it should be ‘unapproved’

Hi Ara,

This is actually built in to the the uploader. Multi-submit always saves encounters in an ‘approved’ state if there is a logged in user with roles.

If there is no logged in user, like a citizen scientist submission the encounter state is set as ‘unapproved’.
