Hi, @BTran !
Wow! 8332 media assets!

So, to answer your immediate question, it looks like you may have forgotten to run detection and/or identification at the bottom of the bulk import page:

It’s possible that you might not see these options because you’re not an orgAdmin? If that’s the case, Alli, Brice, or Christy might be able to give you orgAdmin rights as well (or just push the button from their account). I can also give you orgAdmin privileges with their approval.

I would propose testing this process on the bulk import you did earlier today that only has 3 encounters. That way, if something was wrong with the import formatting or something, it won’t lock up the system making 8000+ mistakes.

Along those lines, do make sure that you have a perusal of the bulk import documentation here if you haven’t already. It strongly recommends that you bulk import in increments of 1000 encounters.

I suspect that sending the 8332 encounters will go through detection and/or identification fine, but it might take quite a while to run (as in, check back tomorrow kind of long).
If something does go wrong, I might recommend deleting this bulk import and splitting into into a few smaller increments.

I hope that this helps!

Thanks for the quick reply @MarkF!

That would explain a lot, I’ll see if setting my status to orgAdmin fixes things.

Thanks again

Hi again @MarkF,

Continuing on this same vein.

One of the admins would like to have uploads done through their account, rather than changing my status.

The plan is to use their account to upload the same images I’ve uploaded. And then set matches, which is an available action on their account.

This would create duplicates, I believe.

Is it possible to remove images that I’ve uploaded and start fresh?

Hi, @BTran !
This would be a matter of simply deleting the bulk import. Please find that section in the documentation: https://docs.wildme.org/docs/researchers/bulk_import

Cheers,
Mark

Hi @MarkF,
