Not able to remove an encounter from a project

What Wildbook are you working in? Internet of Turtles

What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred? http://iot.wildbook.org/projects/project.jsp?id=935079b9-cd29-449d-8e2b-25ddcb153068

Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing? I am unable to remove an encounter from a project

Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing? I navigate to My Data and My Projects. When I’m logged in with my account, I get the word ‘Unauthorized’ when I click the red Remove button and then confirm on the pop-up box on an encounter. When I’m logged in with my colleagues account and follow the same steps, nothing happens.

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

Hi @Kate

Which of your colleagues is also seeing the Unauthorized message when you try to remove the encounter? Do you mind letting me know which encounter needs to be removed from the project so I can test what’s going on?

Sure - Patrick Stoney’s account is not getting an ‘unauthorized’ message, but still nothing happens after I confirm on the pop up box.

An example of an encounter is 768b5b30-7d17-431c-b98c-e284c9337023 (this is the encounter catalog number). This encounter should remain in our database (i.e., not be deleted entirely) but needs to be removed from the OkinawaTurtles project.

Thanks for the examples! I was able to remove the encounter from the project for you.

I’m going to write up a ticket as I suspect there’s underlying permissions weirdness that’s not letting projects users manage the encounters to projects they have permissions for. I’ll update with the link here when it’s ready.
