Problems getting both individuals from one photo into projects

What Wildbook are you working in?
Amphibian and Reptile Wildbook

What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?

Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
When having a photo of two individuals on it, only one individual will correctly be assigned to an encounter. The other remains unassigned.
So when, I want to put the photos into a project, only the assigned one will be added there, but not the unassigned.

Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?

  • upload photo with two individuals
  • start detection and wait for the annotations
  • search for the respective encounter with encounter search
  • click on manage projects and add them to the project

Problem: Only one individual will be added to the project, the unassigned not
My question is: How can I get the unassigned into the project?

Best wishes,
Pia

Hi @Pia

Projects are wrappers around Encounters. Encounters can be added to and removed from projects regardless of individual IDs.

In the Encounter example you sent, there are two annotations on the image, and thus Wildbook cloned a second Encounter (the one from your link) because an Encounter can only be one individual at a point in time.

This cloned Encounter may also need to be added to the project.

Is the issue that the cloned Encounter was not automatically added to the same project as the original?

Thanks,
Jason

Filed ticket WB-1949 to make sure a cloned Encounter (from two annotations occurring the same image) gets added to the same Project as the original.

Hi @Pia

A fix for this has been deployed in your Wildbook. Do you have the ability to confirm the issue is fixed? I know it may be hard to reproduce.

Thanks,
Jason
