Sharkbook Encounters - not filtering

I am using the new Sharkbook.Ai and notice that the “Encounters” section it includes every shark encounter, for every country, for every species of shark.

Is there a way that we can filter the results to just Australia - as per what we used to see in the old Spot a Shark Australia?

It is not going to be manageable to have to scroll through 91000 records to understand which ones relate to Australia.

Hi, @Sarah_Aus_SpotaShark !
You should be able to search for only your species:

Search → Encounter Search →Observation attribute filters → Carcharius taurus.

Does this get you the information you need?

P.S.,
I noticed while looking at the Mapped Results of that search that almost all of the encounters in the database fitting the Carcharius taurus search term now are Australian, but here are a few with weird locations that you might find noteworthy:

This one from North America: Sharkbook: Wildbook for Sharks

This one labeled south bondi but with gps coordinates that put it quite far away from australia: Sharkbook: Wildbook for Sharks

This one that washed ashore in France: Sharkbook: Wildbook for Sharks

Hi @MarkF

I just tried, but this does not really help when I am looking in my encounters.
As you can see, the filter did not do anything.

Any ideas?

Hi, @Sarah_Aus_SpotaShark !

I mean using the filter in the Encounter Search Tab. If below screenshots aren’t useful, I’ll make a quick video.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks! Can be marked as resolved
