Spot a shark Australia - email for submission template changes

What Wildbook are you working in? Spot a Shark Australia

When somebody submits a photo to SpotaShark.com they receive a message that confirms the photo has been received. Please can it be amended to the following?

[Email Title]
New encounter submission for Spot A Shark

[Email logo]
The logo appears huge and stretches the entire email which makes it looks strange. Can you either make it smaller or remove entirely?

[Email Content]
Thanks for participating in Spot a Shark and reporting your Grey Nurse shark encounter.

Our team will now review the unique pattern of this shark’s flank against other sharks in our database so that we can determine if it is a new or existing shark. Your photo will help us further understand the migratory patterns and health of this species. This information is vital to help us protect this species and its aggregation sites.

The information that you have submitted represents an “encounter” that we track. Each encounter is assigned a unique number, and you can view that encounter at any time using the link above or by going to the following link:

We will keep you informed of any changes to your submitted encounter and email you if the animal is matched to another one within the Spot a Shark database. We will also let you know if/when and where your animal is re-sighted by other community members.

Sincerely,

The SpotAShark Team

Hi, @Sarah_Aus_SpotaShark !
Since the migration to sharkbook is underway, this work doesn’t really make a ton of sense to do, given that the email template will have to change after the transition to sharkbook to accommodate more generic shark language.

Some of this will be useful to implement when the time comes to deploy sharkbook, but I’m going to put this on delay until then and gently suggest that some of the more SAS AUS-specific stuff won’t really make sense in the new sharkbook instance.

CC @Sean_Aus_SpotaShark , @tanyastere , @jason just so we’re all in communication about this.
