Hey, I wanted to trial spot mapping for sevengills, as they do for grey nurse sharks. Because I am looking down onto the dorsal surface of the sevengill shark I am wondering if I will be able to change the anchor points. Ideally I would like them to be the nose/rostrum and the trailing inside edge of each pectoral fin. I have included an image of these areas. Thank you.

This is an interesting edge case. Spot mapping only supports left and right side viewpoints. Especially since the anchor points for this species are for marking the eyes and gills, which aren’t visible from this viewpoint.
It does look like this would be a good viewpoint to pull identifying spots from using our other algorithms. We’re going to get Hotspotter and MiewID configured for this species so you can experiment with how well they perform at finding the correct individuals.
I’ll follow up once I confirm we’ve got it set up and ready to use.
