Suggestions for new terminology to describe an animal's position and what one should be looking at

What would you like to see?

1. In the list of orientation of the animal(s) in question, the terminology is somewhat confusing. Up, Down are not often easily applicable. For accuracy when describing seals the terms “dorsal” and "ventral" are not ambiguous and should make the description easier.

2. Mentioned months ago, please add sand as a haulout surface in addition to water, rocks. ice

3. How would this functionality help you? Would be easier to describe the view of the animal(s) in question upon which we should be carefully viewing.
